Govt alive to employees’ problems: Zulfkar Ali
Srinagar, October 24, (Scoop News)-Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) today said that the Government is concerned for the welfare of its people and for those who are helping them in the process.
The Minister said this during his interaction with the deputation of FCS&CA Employees Association. He said that while the present dispensation is keen to work for the welfare of people, it also wants to address all the issues of its employees who irrespective of the political situation delivered their duties to their fullest.
Zulfkar Ali said that the Government is committed for the overall development of the State, and it includes its employees also. He said that the present Government works with a motto that those who are helping the Government in its developmental works should be rewarded.
During the meeting, the employees’ deputation apprised the Minister with their various issues. On the issue of regularization of Departmental Football players, the Minister said that promotion of sports culture in the State is only possible when the sports players are taken care off. He said that in the past, the department’s team has produced some great players who brought laurels for the department. Keeping the welfare of its football players in mind, the Minister directed referring their case for regularization to the General Administration Department.
On the daily wages of Hamals, the Minister informed the meeting that he has held several meetings with Union Ministry in this regard, and has apprised them about the issue. The Minister said that he is optimistic about the outcome of those meeting.
On upgradation of ASKs’ as SKs issue, the Minister said that the case has been examined in the Department and it has been proposed that it may be referred to the Finance Department.
