| School children taking procession “School Chalo” | | 
Anantnag, October 25, (Scoop News)-This procession may not have been very big- in fact it had only over 500 school children and 20 teachers- but the message it carried could not be bigger. The people of Pahalgam and adjoining areas were yesterday greeted by these students of AGS' Aishmuqam and Pahalgam, carrying banners, posters and placards, urging the children, youth and elderly alike, to insist on opening of schools and colleges. One of the students who participated in the ‘School Chalo’ rally said,” while we have been fortunate not to have suffered much since our schools are open even in these times, we would not like one our brothers and sisters from other schools to suffer any more either”. Another said, “we understand the far reaching consequences of this lost time in education and request everyone concerned to stop any further loss to our brothers and sisters".
The march by these spirited students received good support from the people especially the children and womenfolk who were seen cheering and encouraging the “School Chalo” march. This is one appeal for the good of the society that must stir every section of that very society.
