| World Disability Day observed at Pulwama | |  Pulwama,December 07, (Scoop News)-A function to observe the World Disability Day was held in Pulwama district today. The function was organized by Chief Education Officer in which District Development Commissioner Muneer-ul-Islam was the chief guest.
On the occasion, the DCC said that the aim of observing the Day is to encourage a better understanding of people affected by disability, and make people more aware of the rights, dignity and welfare of disabled persons in every aspect of life.
He also announced that Rs 30000 will be provided for blind cricket association and Rs 5 lakh for surgery of needy disabled persons of the district. The DDC also distributed wheel chairs and certificates among the disabled persons. ... |
