| SKUAST Vets Alumni Association Jammu organizes reunion SVAJ to have website, magazine: Dr Shahid | |  Jammu, December 8, (Scoop News)- SKUAST Vets Alumni Association Jammu (SVAJ), an alliance of veterinary graduates and post-graduates from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology organized alumni reunion at R S Pura campus today.
Director Information & PR, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary who is also the President of Alumni Association presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Shahid said SVAJ will soon have a website as well as a magazine where they will contribute articles and their life experiences to remain in touch and stay updated.
He said such reunions serve as a platform where participants get an opportunity to exchange ideas in a cordial and friendly environment. “Besides, events like these make one nostalgic as the participants recall the good old times spent during their study in the varsity,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Head of the Pharmacology Department, Dr Mudhasira Sultan, appreciated the efforts of the organizers for organizing reunion of the alumni.
On the occasion, various arts groups, renowned regional singers and alumni of the university dressed in colorful costumes assorted platter of entertainment.
Dr V S Senthil Kumar, Dr Owais Ahmed and other IAS, IFS, KAS, KPS officers and professional veterinarians from the field departments as well as institutions and laboratories attended the function.
Vice President Dr Peerzada Farhat, General Secretary, Dr Shafqat Khandey, Dr Mandeep Singh Azad and other members of alumni addressed the meeting.
Faculty members, senior officers from department and research scholars of SKUAST-J were also present.
