| Mirwaiz family bereaved, Molvi Shabir Ahmed passes away after a brief spell of illness at Jammu | |
Srinagar, January 18, (Scoop News)-A member of the Mirwaiz family and son of late Moulvi Ghulam Mustafa of Mirwaiz Manzil, Rajouri Kadal, Moulvi Shabir Ahmad, presently residing at Mustafabad- Zainakote passed away after a brief spell of illness at Jammu.
Soon after hearing about Moulvi Shabir’s demise, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq visited the Mustafabad, Zainakote HMT residence of the deceased and led the Nimaz-e-Jinaza which was attended by members of the Mirwaiz family, neighbours, and prominent members of the society.
Later, the deceased was buried at the ancestral graveyard of the Mirwaiz family amid moist eyes.
Meanwhile, a condolence meeting of the Jammu Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) was held today in which the AAC members expressed grief and shock over the death of Moulvi Shabir Ahmad, a close family member of the AAC chief and All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader, and expressed sympathy and solidarity with the Mirwaiz and the entire Mirwaiz clan.
The meeting while passing a resolution paying glowing tributes to Moulvi Shabir Ahmad said the deceased was a religious person.
The AAC meeting also prayed to Almighty Allah for granting Jannat-ul-Firdous to the deceased and forbearance to his entire bereaved family.
The congregational Fateh Khawani of the deceased would be held at 11 am on Friday, January 20, at the deceased’s residence.
