Jammu/ Leh, February 15, (Scoop News)-Sangasena Mahathero, a soldier turned Buddist monk and the founder of Mahabodhi International Meditation Center near Devachan in Leh, is holding a conference in Jammu on February 22.
Sangesena has launched a movement for boosting interfaith relation, love and compassion among the people for world peace.
According to well informed sources, Rev Sangsena is scheduled to hold eight events under the banner of ‘Mahkaruna Day Celebration-2017’ by organizing conferences, seminars and other activities in various metropolis cities across the country. Prominent religious heads of various faiths, scholars and others will be invited to speak for promotion of love and compassion amongst the people of different faiths.
Eight conferences were scheduled to be held during the current year at Ahemdabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Amravati, Chandigarh, Jammu and Leh, of them six have already been successfully held till February 7. They included Ahmedabad on January 26, Delhi on February 4, Mumbai on February 7, Amaravati on February 17, Chandigarh on February 19 and Jammu on February 22 this year. ... |
