| Raising Day celebrated by IR 6th Bn | | ADGP was the chief guest on the occasion |
Srinagar,February 16, (Scoop News)-Raising Day was today celebrated by IRP 6thbattalion in PCR Complex in which ADGP Armed J&K Shri L T Mohanti, accompanied by IGP Armed/IR Kashmir Shri Sunil Kumar, was the chief of guest.
ADGP Armed J&K Shri L.T Mohanti inspected the guard of honour at unit quarter guard. Thereafter, he inaugurated badminton court, food kiosk and MT shed in battalion headquarters. A blood donation camp was also organized in which officer and jawans of IRP 6th Bn donated their blood.
Next of the kins of police martyrs of IRP 6th Bn were also invited on the occasion from different districts of the valley. ADGP Armed enquired about their welfare and distributed gifts to them.
Shri Mohanti also held a darbar with the officers and Jawans in which various issues pertaining to welfare, transfers etc were raised. Later on the orchestra team of DPL Srinagar enthralled the audience with their spectacular performance.
Besides, commandants of JKAP 9th Bn, JKAP 12thBn, JKAP 13th Bn, IR 2ndBn, SSP PCR Shri Suhail Munawar Mir and SP APCR Shri Javaid Ahmad were also present on the occasion.
