| Day long training programme for ROs /AROs held at IMPA | | CEO for ensuring transparency in every aspect of poll process |  Srinagar, March 18, (Scoop News)-Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Jammu and Kashmir, Shantmanu today asked the officers to properly document all permissible parts of election process to ensure free, fair and transparent conduct of forthcoming Parliamentary by-elections.
The CEO was speaking at a daylong programme held for training Returning Officers (RO) and Assistant Returning Officers (ARO) of Srinagar and Anantnag Parliamentary Constituencies.
Deputy Chief Electoral Office, District Election officers of Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Pulwama districts and other concerned officials were present on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner Kupwara participated in the programme as a key resource person.
The CEO directed the officials to ensure that Model Code of Conduct is strictly implemented and all complaints are disposed off in speedy manner. He also directed officials to establish Whatsapp group for RO and AROs so that there is speedy information sharing.
At the training programme the experts imparted knowledge to officers on various aspects of counting, poll day arrangements, MCC, Nomination, scrutinization, withdrawal and other aspects of election process.
