| Rajya Sainik Board organizes outreach rally for families of martyrs | | Jammu, March 18, (Scoop News)- An outreach rally was organized under the supervision of Director Rajya Sainik Board at Samba as part of establishing contact of citizens with ESM and Veer Naris/Widows.
Brig Harcharan Singh, Director Sainik Welfare Department, Mamta Singh, Brig Anil Gupta and Janvir Singh from ESM Cell were also present on the occasion.
During the programme, SBI representatives from Jammu and Samba gave lectures on finance management.
Col Kulwant Singh Sambyal gave lecture on pension issues.
Director Sainik Welfare, Brig Harcharan Singh highlighted the need to help non pensioners and informed the ESM to take help of Armed Forces Tribunal established at Sunjwan for resolution of pension cases. He assured that such programmes will be held on regular basis in which volunteers will visit the houses of martyrs and resolve their problems.
Mamta Singh said that nation is grateful to the martyrs and their families for their supreme sacrifices. She appreciated the drive which is being undertaken by the citizens to visit the families of martyrs. She felicitated the gallantry award winners.
