| DCC- Jammu holds a meeting highlights govt's failure on all fronts | |
Jammu, March 20, (Scoop News)-A meeting of functionaries of District Congress Committee, Block and Ward presidents of Jammu (Urban) District was held in Jammu on Monday at party office.
President District Congress Committee (Urban) Jammu, Anil Chopra, presided over the meeting. All the Block presidents highlighted the failure of state government in all fronts especially with reference to the maintenance and supply of civil amenities such as power, water, ration supply, road, health problems, Education etc.
He highlighted the sanitation problems in the Jammu city and some parts of the district. Block presidents focused on the improper implementation of delimitation of panchayats by the ruling party.
Chopra urged the party workers to gear up political activities in their respective areas for local bodies elections which are likely to be announced shortly by the government.
Participants highlighted a very vital issue of settlement of West Pakistan Refugees and DPs of 1947,1965 & 1971, proposed by the previous government of UPA in J&K.
Amrit Bali Block President proposed that Chief Electoral Officer may please appoint an officer who should ensure rotational implementation of delimitation process in its letter and spirit.
Prominent among others who attended the meeting included Madan Lal Malagar, P.S. Chohan, Dr. Rama Kant Khajuria, Gourav Chopra, Om Parkash Kapoor and others.
