2 more nominations filed for Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency
Bye-election preparedness reviewed in Anantnag
Anantnag, March 24, (Scoop News)- On the last date of filing of nominations to 3-Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency, two more nominations by Mohammad Yaseen Poswal and Sajjad Ahmed Dar, both Independent candidates were filed today in the office of the concerned Returning Officer.

Thus a total of 07 candidates have filed their nominations for the Anantnag Parliamentary constituency. These include Tasaduq Hussain Mufti of J&K People’s Democratic Party, Ghulam Ahmad Mir as a joint candidate of Indian National Congress and National Conference, Sanjay Kumar Dhar of Rashtriya Samajwadi Party (S), Ghulam Mohammad Wani of All J&K Kissan Mazdoor Party and Rakesh Koul as an Independent candidate besides the two candidates mentioned above.


Bye-election preparedness reviewed in Anantnag
A meeting was today convened to review the by-election preparedness at DC Office Complex here. The meeting was attended by all the AROs and Nodal Officers associated with the election process in the Anantnag Constituency.
He directed the officers to ensure timely formulation of comprehensive election management plan for free, fair and smooth conduct of the forthcoming by-elections for the Anantnag Parliamentary seat.
The AROs were directed to report the basic minimum facilities requirement in the polling stations in order that these are made available in time.
It was given out that webcasting and videography shall be done in 10 percent of the polling stations.
The Nodal Officer SVEEP was directed to intensify the SVEEP campaigns to make the new voters aware of their voting rights. He was asked to furnish the SVEEP Plan underscoring the achievements registered against the target.
The AROs were asked to constitute Booth Awareness Groups by roping in concerned Tehsildars and were directed to set up model poling stations with added facilities.
