| JKACL celebrates World Theatre Day | | Jammu, March 27, (Scoop News)- J&K Academy of Art Culture and languages (JKACL) today celebrated the World Theatre Day by organizing a panel discussion on the present scenario of theatre in Jammu and new trends and styles evolving in contemporary theatre with regards to the Indian and western theatre.
The theatre personalities including Deepak Kumar, RL Bhat, Vikram Sharma, Abhishek Bharti and Ifra Mushtaq Kak and Sr. Drama instructor (JKACL) Dr. Sudhir Mahajan participated in the discussion.
On the occasion, Secretary JKACL, Dr. Aziz Hajni congratulated the theatre activists, writers and the artist and highlighted the overall scenario of folk and contemporary theatre of the state with reference to the Dogri and Kashmir' theatre.
Galaxy of artists from the various theatre groups besides writers and directors attended the discussion and raised various issues of the artists. They sought government support to disseminate and preserve the most ancient and traditional performing art.
