| Jan seeks compensation for electrocution of bullocks | |
Jammu, March 28, (Scoop News)-Youth National Conference Provincial President Jammu and former MLA Poonch Mr Ajaz Jan on Tuesday decried the negligence of the Power Development Department, saying two bullocks have got electrocuted at Datti Gala Panchayat Chamber in Mandi Block of Poonch District.
In a statement, Mr Jan sought compensation for the poor farmers who lost their bullocks, as a result of which their farm activity have got affected.
Mr Jan said that negligence of the PDD has cost many human lives in the past across the Jammu region but its officers seem not to have learnt any lesson so far. He also demanded regular monitoring of the distribution lines, especially in inhabited areas so that precious lives are saved.
