NC seeks judicial probe into Darbug carnage
slams PDP for giving free hand to forces

Srinagar ,March 29, (Scoop News)-Demanding judicial probe into the gruesome killing of innocent civilians in Darbbug area of Chadoora, National Conference General Secretary Mr Ali Mohammed Sagar on Wednesday condemned the killings and described these as a blot on Indian democracy.

“The PDP has let loose unabated reign of terror and repression against innocent Kashmiris and in their pursuit of remaining in good books of their masters in Delhi, the present coalition government is trampling human rights violations day in and day out”, Mr Sagar while addressing workers at the party headquarters here this morning and said and conveyed the condolences of the party leadership to the bereaved families who have lost their dear ones and sole bread earners.

He said that independent probe, preferabaly by a sitting or retired High Court Judge, will unravel the amount of excessive force used against the civilians that resulted in the worst type of blood bath. He said the humanity bled when the brother of five sisters Zahid Rashid, who was the sole bread earner of his aged parents, fell to bullets. He said the death of Aamir Fayaz, brother of three sisters, and Ashfaq Wani have become target of brute forces that have been using pellet guns and indulging in chest fire unabatedly. He accused the PDP and BJP of giving long rope to the forces as a result of which they have taken overall control of the administration and the government has just become puppet in their hands. He said the PDP has failed in protecting the life and honour of Kashmiris and reminded that its leadership is repeating what they had engineered in early 1990s. “They have been perpetrators of terror and agony in Kashmir, Mr Sagar said that all this is being done under an agenda scripted in Nagpur to erase the Muslim character of Kashmir.

Meanwhile, senior party leaders Mr Abdul Rahim Rather, Mr Nasir Aslam Wani, Agha SAyed Ruhullah,Mr Ali Mohammed Dar, Mr Junaid Azim Mattu and Mr Tanveer Sadiq have also expressed deep anguish and grief over the killing of three young men, They have decried the PDP-BJP dispensation for giving free hand and shoot at sight orders to the security forces to quell the dissent. “This is dark chapter of democracy, which is taking last breaths at the carnage sites like Darbug Chadoora”, they said, adding that this is a common sight across the Valley. He said the PDP has always hoodwinked the people of Kashmir over revocation of AFSPA, release of political prisoners and other issues just to remain glued to power.
