Anantnag,March 9 (Scoop News) - To ensure complete and holistic preparedness and response of the people, in the event natural calamity like earthquake strikes, a meeting under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Anantnag Shikh Mushtaq was held, the other day here. All the officers were apprised of their respective assignments in view of the Mock Drill to be conducted in case an earth quake occurs.
It was decided that the Mock Drill would be held at Mattan on 20th March, 2010 preceded by Table Talk on 19th. The concerned departments for the scheduled Mock Drill and to procure the necessary tools and equipments required in case an earthquake strikes.
Among others present in the meeting were officers from Police, civil Administration, Engineering departments, civil Defence, Fire Services Education and other associated departments.
