| Indian leaders betrayed Jammu but Jammu will not betray India: JFI | | Kashmir Jihad has to be defeated: Panelists | 
Jammu, May 21, (Scoop News)-Jammu for India held a seminar on the topic Betrayal of Jammu here today. The situation in the state was discussed threadbare during the seminar. Panelists were of the unanimous opinion that Indian political class over the years weakened Hindus and nationalists forces in the state in order to appease the Muslim communal separatists class. This reality has created a situation when Jammu is under assault from all sides particularly facing a demographic invasion which has to be stopped forthwith. The panelists unanimously said that Kashmir Jihad has to be defeated though Indian leaders betrayed Jammu but Jammu will never betray Indian Nation.
The panelists who participated in the seminar were Ex-DGP MM Khajooria, Bar Association Jammu President B S Salathia, Ex-Minister & MLA Pawan Gupta, Panun Kashmir Chairman Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, Panun Kashmir Convenor Dr. Agnishekhar and Advocate Ankur Sharma. Prof Hari Om, Convenor JFI presided over the seminar. The programme was conducted by Shailender Aima. Eminent citizens from all walks of life participated.
IN his keynote address Ankur Sharma, Advocate emphasized upon the dangers of the demographic assault being made on the Hindu majority Jammu region. He said that the demographic change of Jammu is being brought about by a multi-pronged strategy which includes well funded campaign of purchase of land, Fraudulent allotments of the Forest and State land through the Roshni Act, Settlement of Illegal Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims, induced Muslim Migration from Kashmir and fraudulent Census Operations.
Ankur Sharma described the demographic invasion of Jammu as a war like situation and urged the citizens of Jammu to rise up and get ready for any sacrifice to protect their land, culture and heritage. He said that Govt connivance in the demographic invasion of Jammu though baffling is the most sinister dimension of the present instability in the State. He said we are under attack from Pakistan, Islamists and unfortunately by our Govt in the State and Centre.
Sh. MM Khajooria, Ex-DGP said while describing the security situation in the state, We meet here today at a critical juncture in the history of our state. How we come to grips with the gravest ever challenge to the integrity of the country and unity of nation will determine our fate both as residents of J&K and citizens of the great Indian democratic Republic. It is sad but true that the governments in Delhi and Srinagar have miserably failed to comprehend the contours and contents of the Wahabi terrorist challenge in Kashmir and are complicit in compromising the integrity of Jammu region, frustrating the aspiration of its people and facilitating the nefarious designs of anti-national elements to subvert peace, harmony and communal amity preserved at tremendous cost.”
He further said, “Vast chunks of territory in Kashmir are practically controlled by Jihadis whose leaders Zakir Musa has publically announced that their struggle is not( merely) for Azadi but “for Islamic Caliphate and Allah”-the core theme of ISIS. Earlier his predecessor Burhan Wani had displayed banners inscribed”Jihad for Caliphate”.
How did we come to this pass? Asked Khajuria adding that the governments at the Centre and the State facilitated this to happenby legitimising the flying of ISIS flags forgetting that these were not mere pieces of cloth but symbols of the most poisonous , brutal and dangerous Wahabi/ Salafi terrorist ideology.
“More significantly, for over two year the Indian State was perceived to be on retreat in Kashmir. Indian Army, its strong arm the ultimate instrument for asserting the state authority was systematically demonized.”
Government of India abetted this crime against the Nation by acts of commission and omission. The destruction of Army Bunkers in Handwara with fan fare in the presence of the Army Chief and a Minister of BJP quota proved to be the watershed. The space so vacated was named as Peace Park amidst Anti- India and Anti-army slogans,
As if operational constraint on our men in uniform were not enough, they now face the certainty of being hauled up in courts through registration of FIRS and consequent trauma of facing trials in courts located in J&K. Has any one bothered to consider the psychotical stress and emotional trauma that this prospect subjects the men faced with the choice between killing and getting killed ? The Parliament should take notice of the implications of this formulation and pass appropriate legislation to make complaints against security forces during operation exclusively triable under the Army Act. In the meanwhile, I would suggest like in corruption cases all complaints against men on field duty should be subjected to a thorough Preliminary inquiry the conclusion whereof should determine whether a formal FIR is to be lodged or Not.
IN the long war against Wahabi terrorism and their over-ground proxies pertinent questions have been raised about sustained institutional responses. Our Security Forces with Indian army in the lead have, by and large adapted to the demands of counter-counterterrorism . But the state’s response to ever evolving terrorism from Pakistan specific Tribal invasion under the cover of Jihad, to Wahhabi terrorism through its Pan-Islamic dimension crafted by ZiaUl Haq has miserably lagged behind . As a consequence the powers that be have been found to be unwilling or unable to adequately empower state institutions engaged in counter terrorism institutions with predictable adverse consequences. That fatal flaw needed to be corrected without further waste of time. A wave of attacks obviously calls effective urgent response by the state. For this to become a reality, empowered, well-resourced, terrorism-specific institutions should be enabled to function. Counter-extremism cannot be conceptualised and a policy road map drawn up or executed in a sporadic manner. Speeches by the prime minister and other sundry ministers expression of resolve by the military leadership are certainly no substitute a comprehensive counter-terrorism policy.
Jammu & Kashmir is a settled issue. The Maharaja of Jammu & Kashmir, Hari Singh, who alone had the power to decide the political fate of his State in terms of the constitutional law on the subject exercised the authority vested in him on October 26, 1947 and linked the fate of the state with India for ever. The Instrument of Accession signed by him was no different from the one signed by other 560-odd princely states.
Kashmir separatists and the political elite on the one hand, virtually question the very political status of Jammu and Kashmir vis-à-vis India and, on the other, seeks to hamper counter-terrorist operations in the restive Jammu and Kashmir State.
In this connection BAJ has decided to intervene in an SLP in the Apex Court by Kashmir Bar Association and not allow anybody to create legal confusion and utilize rights guaranteed by the Constitution of India to further separatists and fundamentalist agenda.
Sh. B S Lalathia assured that BAJ is committed to protect the national interest as well as interest of the people of Jammu and will be ready for any sacrifice to safeguard the same.
Ex-Minister and MLA Pawan Gupta said that it should be amply clear to the Government of India that its present policy on Jammu and Kashmir has failed outrightly and the state is facing a malicious, communal and seditious movement. Shri Gupta said it is the colossal tragedy that BJP has chosen to abandon people of Jammu who gave it such a huge mandate and enabled it to form a Govt in the State. The recruitments in the State during the BJP-PDP rule clearly demonstrate that Jammu has been marginalized from all recruitment processes. Not only that the entire developmental process in the state has transformed into an overwhelmingly Kashmir Centric process. Nobody expected such an enslavement of the people of Jammu during the BJP rule.
He said that the multifarious challenges to the people living in Jammu has to be met by a unanimous resolve from the people living in Jammu region. They have no option but to fight it out.
Dr. Agnishekhar said that the Pan-Islamic fundamentalism has unleashed a war in the State at many levels. The State government has virtually facilitated the takeover of Kashmir by the Islamo-fascist forces. At the same time a well designed Muslim demographic invasion of Jammu is going on unabated. The tile has come when all of us have to rise as one people to defeat this war waged on Hindus and other minorities of the State. Jammu is the battle ground where fate of India will be decided.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman Team Jammu and Secretary Press Club Jammu said that dangers are building from drug abuse to terrorism. Jammu is facing multitude of problems which also includes settlement of Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims. Jammu will defeat the anti-national forces as it has done in the past. There is necessity for all positive forces to unite and strategise.
Dr. Ajay Chrungoo said that betrayal of Jammu is infact the betrayal of Hindus and also India by the successive Govts which have ruled the state since 1947. These Govts facilitated the Islamists war which started immediately after state acceded to India. The stuffing of Constituent Assembly by the supporters of National Conference in the early days of the Constitution formation earmarked the beginning of the Great Game of betrayal unleashed by the Political class of India. The long list of betrayals was justified by many amongst us in the name of strategy, tactics and politics to further national Interests. This was a blunder of understanding. BJP rule in Delhi and the State has now enabled us to see not only what Muslim separatists are doing but also how Indian political class is hell bent upon compromising us to reach a deal with Pakistan and separatists. Seven Million Hindu, Sikhs, Budhists hold the key to the defeat of Muslim separatism in the State only if we rise as a people and tell New Delhi that we are not a doormat nor are we sandbags or Yes Men. We will decide What are the National Interests in the State and we have not given any attorney to Govt of India to decide our fate.
Prof Hari Om in his presidential address said that betrayal of the Nation in Jammu has been the work of the vision of Indian political class. It created a “Muslim State of Jammu and Kashmir” and described it as a Secular paradise. It is my firm view after analyzing the History of India as well as its politics that Indian political Class which includes the top brass of all the political parties did not allow Indian State to evolve as a normal State to guarantee the growth and progress of the Nation. It transformed the State into an instrument to keep India disunited, weak and always eager for a compromise with Muslim and other expansionist forces. What is happening in Kashmir is a glaring example of the abnormality of the State of India which is ever eager to accommodate the enemies of the Nation, empower them and at the same time weaken and marginalize the patriots. “We are fighting a battle in Jammu which has far reaching implications. We have to fight it alone and let the Nation join us because in case this doesnot happen, India may perish.
Jammu has to rise for the survival of Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhist and all those who believe in the Nation of India. Jammu has to rise for the survival of India.
