| World Earth Day celebration | | Srinagar, May 26, (Scoop News)- A grand function regarding the celebration of "World Earth Day" was organized at MP Higher Secondary School here today which was presided over by principal of the school, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Kumar.
The inaugural address was delivered by Mtr. Romaisa Nazir, Lecturer Commerce. In addition to the student participants, the faculty members also delivered speeches to highlight the significance of the Earth Day. In the second phase, a question-answer session was conducted and students were later felicitated with prizes.
Meanwhile, a signature campaign was also held in which the principal of the school and staff members signed a pledge to save the Mother Earth. The student participants were felicitated with the certificates of participation and mementos.
The school also felicitated Momin Hussain and Mohammad Nabeel of Class 12 science with a cash prize of Rs 500 each and memento for bagging first position in the Science Exhibition held at DIET Srinagar The students were assisted and guided by Mr. Adil Amin, lecturer Chemistry and Mr Bashir Ahmad Bangi
