| Army hosts 'Iftaar' for local populace of Reasi and Talwara | |
Reasi, June 20, (Scoop News)-Indian Army organised Iftaar for the local populace of Reasi, Talwara and adjoining ares in a bid to foster brotherhood and bonhomie among people of all communities.
More than 400 guests greeted each other adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
Moulvi Sajid Mehmood Raza, Imam of Jama Masjid, Talwara conducted the Magrib prayers on the occasion.
The iftaar party was attended by GOC, Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform), Deputy Commissioner of Reasi, Mr Ravinder Kumar, SSP Mr Tahir Bhat other dignitaries from Army and civil administration, eminent personalities, sarpanch, Religious leaders and a large number of locals.
Moulvi Sajid Mehmood Raza speaking on the relevance of the iftaar to the gathering said that the Almighty showers his blessing not only on the people who keep Rozas but also on the person who offer iftaar to those keeping the Rozas.
He said that such events help different communities to interact with each other and reinforce the need for people of all religious communities to follow the message of peace and mentioned that such gesture by the Army has enhanced the image of people friendly Army which will go a long way.... |
