| Khanna to attend International Yoga Day at Srinagar | |
Jammu,June 20, (Scoop News)- BJP National Vice-President and J&K Incharge, Avinash Rai Khanna will join Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, ministers, party activists and the public in the Yoga Programme to be organized at Srinagar.
In an official handout issued from BJP State Office, it was said that it is an achievement for the Indian Society that today the whole of the world is celebrating the Yoga Day irrespective of region or faith.
Khanna said that 21st June was declared as International day for Yoga by the United Nations General Assembly three years ago owing to the special efforts by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA Government. Now more than 180 countries worldwide have started preparations for the celebrations of Yoga Day. The whole of the world has recognized the power of Yoga for the peace and the tranquility of mind.
Khanna said that It is matter of intense joy and pride for the Indians as the origin of the great concept is attributed to the Indian sub-continent and the way to the formation of a great Nation which acts as a torch bearer for the whole world. It is a holistic approach towards the physical, mental and spiritual well being of a person.
Avinash Rai Khana has appealed to the common public to join the programme and enter into the world of unison of mind and soul for a better health.
