Awareness programme on central schemes organized
Ganga, Jugal highlight welfare programmes, ask people to avail maximum benefits
Samba, June 21, (Scoop News)- An awareness programme on central schemes was organized by Rural Electrification Corporation Limited, here today.
Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga and Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma were the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Ganga highlighted the schemes and welfare programmes launched by centre and state governments like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Pradhan Mantri Koushal Vikas Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna, Ujjwala Yojna, Digital India, Kissan Fasal Beema Yojna, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojna among others.
Ganga urged the common masses to avail benefits from these schemes. He said that the government is working hard to upgrade the living standard of the people and efforts are underway to provide better livelihood to them.
Speaking on 3rd International Yoga Day, the Minister asked the people to perform yoga regularly for keeping at bay various diseases. He said that yoga has received international recognition and the day is being globally celebrated for raising awareness on the benefits of its traditional knowledge.
Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma said the numerous welfare schemes have been launched so that the benefit of the same would reach to the people at the grass root. He said that centre government is providing liberal funding for development of the state on various fronts and people should come forward for large scale participation.
Vice Chairman State Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of Other Backward Classes, Rashpaul Verma also spoke on the occasion and threw light on various welfare schemes of the government for upliftment of people belonging to social and backward classes.
Among others, DDC Samba, Sheetal Nanda, senior leader, Mamta Singh, representatives of Rural Electrification Corporation Limited besides officers of district administration were also present on the occasion.
