| Congress ridicules BJP’s quietness on sensitive issues | |
Jammu, July 18, (Scoop News)-Chief spokesperson JKPCC, Ravinder Sharma has criticized the State Govt. for its ill conceived moves to create wedge between different linguistic, cultural, ethnic and regional identities in the state.
Reacting to the recent move of the Govt. to convert posts of APS in colleges in Jammu Region to Kashmiri language which has caused great resentment and unrest amongst the youth of Jammu region, Sharma said that it is another attempt to create wedge and uncalled for controversy.
Earlier also Govt. ignored the aspirations of certain linguistic groups while introducing three regional languages as compulsory subject in Schools, besides ignoring protests over the alleged irregularities in the affairs of public service Commission (PSC).
The Govt. is insensitive and indifferent to the sensitivities of this state and such ill-advised and ill-conceived moves would disturb the already fragile social and secular fabric of this state.
It is unfortunate that the coalition of north pole and south pole which came to power with the slogan to bridge the gap between regions, has taken such decisions in power, which have further widened the gap and mistrust between regions and different social, cultural, linguistic and religions identities.
The Govt. shall do well to respect the respective urges and aspirations of the recognized identities in order to maintain and strengthen the social and secular fabric and maintain harmony in the regions and the state.
He also questioned the silence of BJP in the Govt. on such sensitive issues, which is criminal on its part, he added.... |
