| Army holds recruitment drive for youth from Ladakh region | | 200 candidates turn out at Karu, online registration encourages greater participation | 
Karu(Ladakh), July 19, (Scoop News)-A Recruitment Rally for youth fromLeh and Kargil districts to join the Indian Army was held at Karu on Wednesday.
The recruitment is being carried out under the aegis of Army Recruitment Organisation, Srinagar to select Ladakhi youth to join the Army in the categories of Soldier (General Duty), Soldier (Clerk/Store Keeper Technical), Soldier (Tradesmen). The recruitment rally is being conducted by HQ Recruiting Zone (Punjab and J&K) and assisted by Leh district administration and police authorities.
The rally has attracted over 200 candidates. A approx strength of thousand number of candidates are expected to make their attempt on Thursday from Kargil Distt.
Special concession in the form of waiver from online registration has been given in this rally to encourage greater participation of youth from Ladakh region.
This has benefited candidates who have reported directly to the rally site for selection.
The healthy turnout of the local youth is manifestation of the contribution of the Ladakhi youth towards the national military might.... |
