| DGBR -Gen Shrivastava lauds team of RCC 111 for working in extreme climatic conditions | | inaugurates strategic Chamathang Bridge connecting Leh with eastern Ladakh. |
Leh(Ladakh), July , (Scoop News)-Complimenting the team of 111 RCC for having completing the strategic bridge despite the extreme working conditions in the region, Director General Border Roads (DGBR), Lt General SK Shrivastava, urged all ranks of Project Hamank to make all efforts to expedite the double laning work of all roads in Ladakh region.
Gen Shrivastava was inaugurating an important bridge connecting Leh with eastern Ladakh which is associated with operational requirement of the armed forces and the economic development of local population.
Major General Savneet Singh GoC of 3rd infantry Division and chief engineer project Himank, Brig DM Purvimath were also present on the occasion.
The bridge will connect Leh to important towns of Hanle, Loma in addition to tourist destination of Tso Morari Lake and will facilitate smooth flow of vehicular traffic on this important axis.
In a statement, 111 RCC of its BRTF under Project Himank led by Brig Purvimath, has launched this 50 meter bridge across Chumathang Nallah. BRO is executing the work for upgradation of Leh-Loma axis from existing single lane to National Highway
Double Lane specification including replacement of the existing temporary bridge.... |
