One voice requires for perusing major issues facing KP Community: Speakers
“asks Kashmiri groups to unit”



Jammu, July 22, (Scoop News)-Kashmiri Pandits today put up a strong case for uniting the community to pursue issues confronting the displaced community in Jammu and across the country.
These voices were raised by various prominent figures of the community at a function organized by Mata Kheer Bhawani Committee in connection with the felicitation programme of newly appointed Relief Commissioner Mr M.L.Raina at Amar Singh Club Auditorium.
“One Voice is required for perusing the major issues facing kashmiri Pandit Community ,which was forced to migrate from valley to Jammu and other parts of the country in 1989-90”,said the convener of Mata Kheerbawani Committee ,Mr Kiran Wattal while welcoming Mr Raina on assumption of his post as Relief Commissioner .We have many critical issues in the community which need redressal at state and national levels and for this the community needs to unite and project the case in one voice. Said Mr Wattal, who is also National President of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Welfare Society.
Lauding the govt for appointing a kashmiri Pandit Officer as Relief Commissioner,Mr Wattal expressed full confidence in his ability to resolve the problems facing different sections of the community in jammu and elsewhere in the country.
The former DGP and Chief Vigilance commissioner Mr Kuldeep Khoda also exhorted on the community leadership to identify major issues of the community and project them in a united way before the authorities.He expressed hope that community leaders and intellectuals would come forward to identify their issues that need short-term and long –term solutions.
A Senior Journalist,Mr M K B Bangroo,while criticizing the multiplication of groups/Organisations in a miniscule community like kashmiri pandits suggested that the need of the hour is to create a Global organization of Pandits to address issues pertaining to culture, religion and future of the Pandits.
The Relief commissioner assured the audience that he will try to do his best to mitigate the problems of migrants and also project them before the higher authorities.
Dr Agnishakher ,A prominent writer of National repute and Convener of Panun Kashmir lauded the initiative taken by the yatra committee and unity move to felicitate the newly appointed Relef Commissioner.He assured his full support to take the community cause unitedly.
Those who also spoke on the occasion included Prof A.N.Sadhu, ,Mr M K Yogi (President NC Minority Cell),Mr Pardesi Ji (leader PDP minority cell),Mr T K Dhar (Leader Jagti Camp),Mr Hiralal Bhat (JK Vicharmanch) and Mr Pintu ji Pandita (Chairman Global Solace).
Several Journalists were also felicitated on the occasion.These included Mr Anil Bhat (PTI Bereau Chief),Mr Avtar Bhat (Special correspondent of Excelsior),Mr Sunny Bhat (Special correspondent of Early Times),Sominder Koul (ANI ) ,Rajinder Tickoo (ETV)and Mr King C Bharti (Special Correspondent of Earth News).
Among Prominent figures of the Community present on the occasion included Ashok Aima (VC Central University),A k Raina (general Secretary of HASK),kuldeep Raina (SVS),Ashok Kangan (JKVM),T K Jagyasu,J L Pandita (BJP displaced cell),M K Jalali (Sharka Peeth),Rohit Handoo President KPIT SAmith, Ashwani Bhat (kashmiri welfare Socity ), Dr Nakhasi , Dr R L Dhar and Murar ji Koul Representative from durga nath trust .
