Justice has not only been delayed but denied

By Kundan Kashmiri

The migration of the Kashmiri Pandit community is unmatched in the archives of history of India. Nowhere in the world, has a religious group been forced to become refugees in a country where they form a two third majority. The Government of India remained in complete denial over the fate of Kashmiri Pandits. Migrants were forced to survive in inhuman conditions with out human rights in various cities of India . The indifference of the nation towards plight of Kashmiri Pandits has been shocking. Since they do not constitute a vote bank, India's political establishment has almost disowned them. Same politicians still control the political system in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. Perpetrators of ethnic cleansing of 1990s, like Yasin Malik, Bitta Karate, Geelani and Moulvi Farooq are today the poster boys of Kashmir politics. Those who lost their near and dear one's still hope some miracle will happen.

In fact for every tragic incident whether 84 riots, Godra riots, Shopian double murder, Sopore incident and what not, a white paper or commission of enquiry has been set up for almost each and every incident except for KP migration and as such a constitution of Special Crimes Tribunal has been now demanded to bring the culprits to justice. For Kashmiri Pandits, justice has not only been delayed, it has been denied.

Now we don,t take it surprising because it is not for the first time happened with KP victim community but in the similar way National Human Right Commission also refused to take serious and sensitive issues of KP community in exile including the said issue of killing and massacre of our community people during the turmoil.Even state and central authorities avoided to take action on such issues.

In this regard a comprehensive list of killed KP community people along with all details were provided to national Human Rights commission by undersigned ( Kundan Kashmiri ) and Sh.C.L. Gadoo . I personally handed over the list for action Home Ministry, Govt India, DG Police J&K and others. we have constantly persuading issues in concerned departments, ministries as as well as in National Human right commission for so many of long years, but avoided and delayed under one or the other pretext. This issue was force-ably raised with President of India, Sushma Swaraj, Governor of J&k twice during our meeting with him under the banner of KPC, as well as with other concerned Ministries and politicians, but except full assurance nothing has been done so for.

we have reached to this final conclusion that only remedy to such problem is that we will have is to get firmly united to fight for our cause and for the same let our whole community prepare itself for the struggle and sacrifices needed for it.
No body will hear you until you will not hear yourself.
