DIPR condoles Haji Sonaullah Munshi’s demise
Srinagar, August 10, (Scoop News)-The Directorate of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) has condoled the demise of noted historian, poet and writer Haji Sonaullah Munshi .
The deceased who hailed from Kargil district of Ladakh region was a noted writer, poet and historian of the state and retired as Assistant Director Information.
A condolence meeting was held at DIPR today which was chaired by Director Information, Mr Muneer-ul-Islam. The meeting while praying for eternal peace to the departed soul, extended condolences to the bereaved family and termed the demise as an irrepressible loss to the world of literature. Participants said the demise has created a vacuum in the arena of literature which is very difficult to refill.
Meanwhile Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages also held a condolence meet at Language Hall Kargil and condoled the demise of Haji Sonaullah Munshi. The meeting termed his demise as a great loss to the mother tongue of Kargil. The meeting also prayed for the departed soul and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family.
