| Army organizes lecture on “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” at Surankote | |
Jammu, August 21, (Scoop News)-Army organised an awareness lecture on “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao” at Youth Centre, Surankote in Poonch district for locals and students, today. “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” is a Government of India scheme to generate awareness and improving the efficiency of welfare services meant for women.
The lecture highlighted the declining sex ratio in the country and emphasised on protection and education of the girl child. The lecture was well received by the locals and they acknowledged that the girls also need to be provided same education and growth opportunities as given to boys.
