Timely medical assistance by army saves life

Srinagar, August 21, (Scoop News)-The HOME AND HEARTH (H & H) Battalion of soldiers hailing from the valley has always acted as a bond between Army and the AWAAM. The Medical Officer of H & H Battalion, Baramulla treats 12 to 15 patients belonging to the surrounding villages on a daily basis.
Today when Naseer Ahmed, a resident of Ghantamulla Bala, was brought to the unit Medical Officer at 1030 AM complaining of discomfort in his chest and breathlessness, he was immediately attended by the doctor. After a quick evaluation, he was promptly diagnosed as a case of heart attack. He was immediately stabilised and evacuated to District Hospital, Baramulla. The patient after being kept under observation in the ICU has been further referred to GMC, Srinagar and is reported to be stable. Due to the prompt action by Army, a serious heart ailment was diagnosed at the initial stage itself and the patient evacuated within 30 minutes thus saving a precious life.
