Governor, CM, others expresses grief over demise of Muhammad Ahsan Ahsan
Srinagar, September 13, (Scoop News)-Governor N.N. Vohra has expressed grief over the sad demise of Sh. Muhammad Ahsan Ahsan, a noted literary personality.
In a message, Governor has prayed for peace to the departed soul and wished the bereaved family the strength to bear the sad loss.
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has condoled the demise of noted literary activist Muhammad Ahsan Ahsan who passed away yesterday.
In her condolence message, the Chief Minister recalled the vociferous activism of the deceased for the protection of Kashmiri language and culture. “His absence from the literary scene would be felt for long”, the Chief Minister, who is also the President of J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, said in her statement.
Mehbooba Mufti has conveyed her sympathies with the bereaved family of late Ahsan.



Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar has condoled the demise of noted literary activist Muhammad Ahsan Ahsan of Hajin, Bandipora who passed away this morning.
In his condolence message, Akhtar said that Ahsan has immensely contributed to literary and social uplift in various capacities, both in his native area of Hajin, Bandipora and other parts of the State. "His demise is a great loss for the literary community of the state," he said.
While offering heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, Akhtar has prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

Vice President of J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages (JKAACL) Zafar Iqbal Manhas has condoled the demise of prominent Kashmiri writer Mohammad Ahsan Ahsan who he described as an old friend and colleague. Ahsan passed away at SKIMS Soura this morning.
Condoling the demise of Ahsan, Manhas conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Meanwhile, Secretary, JKAACL Dr Aziz Hajini has paid rich tributes to Ahsan.
Dr Hajini was among the hundreds of people including writers, poets and intellectuals, prominent members of civil society who joined the funeral of Ahsan.
Ahsan remained associated with JKAACL for several decades and served in the Academy in various capacities from where he retired as Assistant Editor Kashmiri. He was also associated with other literary organizations of the Valley including Halqa Adab Hajin, Sonawari and Adbi Markaz Kamraz.
The Academy also held a condolence meeting at its headquarters this morning in which rich tributes were paid to Ahsan.
