| Cross-country event “RUN FOR FUN” held at Manasbal | |
Srinagar, September 16, (Scoop News)- IRP 8th battalion APC Manasbal organized a cross country event with the theme “RUN FOR FUN”. The race was flagged off by Commandent IRP 8th Battalion Shri Ghulam Rasool Dar.
Students of Sainik School Manasbal , Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Safa Pora and Govt High school Kondabal participated in the event. The run started from Manasbal lake and culminated at Sainik School.
In under-14 years category, Shoaib Bhat, Arsalan Afzal and Mudasir grabbed Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively while as in under 19-years category, Fayaz Shafi, Shah Saqib and Muzamil Nabi received 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
SSP Ganderbal Shri Fayaz Ahmad Lone who was chief guest on the occasion distributed trophies and cash reward worth rupees 2000, 1500 and 1000 to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders respectively .
Principal Sainik School Manasbal Shri Nazir Ahmad Dar, Addl. SP Ganderbal Shri Shivdeep Singh and other officers of IRP 8th Bn. were also present on the occasion.
