Awareness camp, rally mark celebration of “Swachhta hi Sewa Pakhwara”
Ensuring quality life in rural, remote areas Govt’s prime concern: Speaker

Jammu, September 17, (Scoop News)- As part of Swachhta Hi Sewa initiative one day awareness camp and rally was organised by ICDS Project Satwari at Raipur Satwari.
Speaker, Kavinder Gupta, was the chief guest on the occasion, who launched the Abhiyan in presence of about 400 Anganwadi Workers, Helpers and beneficiaries with an aim to ensure involvement of all stakeholders in making Satwari block neat and clean.
A Swachhta walk cum rally of Anganwadi Workers and helpers was flagged off earlier in the morning besides a massive cleanliness drive was carried out. Besides, poster making, Nukkad Natak, screening of various animated and Non-animated Short Films on “Cleanliness and Personal hygiene” developed by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Women and child Development was screened in the camp. The movie “Toilet Ek Prem Kathaa” on menace of open defecation was also screened during the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta, highlighted the importance of carrying forward the Swachh Bharat Mission and impressed upon the workforce of ICDS to be the flag bearers of cleanliness drive. He reaffirmed the initiative of the government of bringing about improvement in quality of life of rural people by promoting cleanliness, hygiene and eliminating open defecation.
Seema Bharti, CDPO Satwari initiated “Each Anganwadi Green Anganwadi Mission” in block Satwari.
Among others Neha Gupta, CDPO Migrant, Firdosa Akhter, CDPO Kot Bhalwal and Hakiqat Singh CDPO Jammu were also present on the occasion.
