| GDC Thathri, DLL organize Remedial Coaching for weaker students | |
Jammu, September 19, (Scoop News)-Government Degree College, Thathri, Kishtwar in collaboration with Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu organized one month long remedial coaching classes for its marginalized, weak and SC/ST and OBC students of the college here recently.
The Remedial coaching classes which were concluded last week, were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Kavita Suri, Director of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu. Dr Vivek Sharma, Assistant Professor, DLL was the course coordinator. The coaching classes provided rich resources in far flung areas of Thathri in Kishtwar to the students who come to the college from highly inaccessible villages of Kishtwar.
Dr. Raj Kumar, Principal was the coordinator of the coaching programme whose guidance helped in the completion of course. Mr. Surinder Kumar, Assistant Professor, convener of the remedial coaching, Mr. Shambu Nath, Assistant Professor, Education and Mr. Zahoor Din, Assistant Professor, Urdu took the remedial coaching classes of three groups which motivated the needy students for acquiring more knowledge in the subjects.
The whole event was planned and synchronized with the help of Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu. It is pertinent to mention here that remedial coaching classes of DLL aim to strengthen the knowledge of weak and SC/ST students besides developing a cordial relationship with the students and suggests remedial measures to overcome their weakness in respective subjects.
