| Two nomogun, Skalzang and Stanzin, bring laurels to region | | bag gold and silver in Jammu District Boxing Championship | Leh(Ladakh), October 10, (Scoop News)-Two nomogun (Ladkhi girls) have excelled in women section of Jammu District Boxing Championship by bagging gold and silver on its concluding day at boxing ring , Indoor Complex at Jammu, the winter capital, on Monday.
The Championship was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Boxing Association under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council and Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association..
In Women Section, Sakalzang Dolma and Bala Devi bagged gold and silver medals respective in 57 kn category, whereas Sonia and Stanzin Cheemeth picked up gold and silver medals respectively in 54 kg category.
The Championship was held under the chairmanship of Rajan Sharma, general secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Boxing Association and Anil Wadhera, chairman technical committee, Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Boxing Association.
On the occasion, Dr Ashutosh Sharma, general secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association gave away the prizes to the winners in presence of Vikas Gupta, joint secretary, Judo Federation of India, SS Gill, general secretary Jammu and Kashmir Cycling Association, Vinod Bhalla, Sanjeev Jamwal and others.... |
