100% Ration Cards distribution within 10 days: Zulfkar
Minister chairs meeting on finances, epds
Srinagar, October 11, (Scoop News)-Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) and Information Department Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali has given deadline of 10 days for distribution of Ration cards to 100 percent beneficiaries of the state.

The Minister chaired separate meetings on the finances and electronic public distribution system in which the Minister issued strict instructions to the officers to distribute all Ration Cards within 10 days. He said that following implementation of NFSA, the Department increased Ration Cards from 18 lac to 28 lack and although it was tedious work, the Department has distributing the RTs on fast track. He however fixed deadline of 10 days to distribute all the cards.

The Minister also discussed targets under NFSA and instructed the Department officers to bring the variation level at Zero by the end of October so that the data matches the actual census data. He also instructed for kick starting of Supply Chan Management project which is in final stage and is expected to be kicked off before October 20, 2017. He said that NC has already provided trainng to Master Trainers of both regions and the portal has been shown active for the month of October of the districts of Doda, Jammu, Kathua, Kishtwar, Rajouri, Ramban, Reasi, Samba and Udhampur.

About the Aadhar seeding, the Minister has said that they have seeded 51.30 percent Raton Card in the state. He said that they have seeded 45211 RTs with 1,85,386 beneficiaries in the state and they will soon complete the procedure. He said that Aadhar seeding is little slow due to various reasons including poor internet connectivity in many districts.

Instructing to complete the process of linking all Fair Price Shops with Vigilance Monitoring Committee, Minister said that they have linked 2365 FPS in the state. He added that they have also started capturing of GIS information of FPS and they have captured 5,354 out of total 6565 shops in the state. He said that this mechanism is a step towards bringing transparency in Fair Price Shops.
