DDC Rajouri chairs VMC meeting
Rajouri admin also holds PSGA camp

Rajouri, October 12, (Scoop News)- District Development Commissioner, Rajouri and Chairman Vidalya Management Committee, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today chaired the annual Vidalya Management Committee (VMC) meeting at Jawahar Novadya Vidalya, Koteranka.
A cultural programme and interactive session was also organised on the occasion.
The VMC decided a number of pending issues and measures for infrastructural and developmental needs of campus. An amount of Rs 10 Lakh was also sanctioned for managing infrastructural gaps of vital nature.
It was decided in the meeting that PHE Department will provide additional water supply line to JNV Campus. Demands related to provision of 2 additional hand pumps, completion of fencing, removal of encroachments, blacktopping of approach road were also discussed.
Officers and members of VMC committed timeline for various works. A stretch of 2 KM road will be blacktopped by PWD in one month while RDD construct a tiled path, water harvesting tank and sports stadium for girl students near hostels. VMC also deliberated on steps to be taken for uninterrupted power supply to campus by additional financial allocation for separate feeder.
The DDC while chairing the meeting directed Rural Development Department to construct an alternative link road from JNV Campus to Main road under CDF of MLA Darhal. This will shorten the distance by 8KM. He also directed for holding of monthly medical check-up camp, regular Parent-teacher meetings and review of infrastructural projects. A hostel building comprising 144-bedded accommodation in 3 blocks constructed by CPWD at a cost of Rs 2.77 crore was also inaugurated by the VMC Chairman.
Later, the DDC held an interactive session with students for more than 2 hours and responded to their series of questions. He informed the students that district administration will open a Career Counselling Centre at JNV for regular guidance of students and monthly awareness programmes will be organised. He also informed that district administration will provide 500 chairs and tents for outdoor events of students.
CEO-RDA Dr Tahir Firdaus, SDM Gopal Singh, CEO Lal Hussain, ExEn PHE Nissar Hussain, Exen PDD, PWD, senior officers of line departments and others attending the meeting.
Principal JNV Rakesh Meena made a detailed presentation. More than 500 students participated in the event and also presented a host of cultural items.

Issues 300 certificates to residents of village Badhoon
As part of its public outreach programme under Public Service Guarantee Act, district administration Rajouri today held a camp to provide services to the locals here at Badhoon village.
A team of officers led by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Abdul Qayoom Mir attended to a large number of local people who applied for seeking different services. Tehsilday Rajouri Salam Din was also present at the camp.
Over 300 certificates were issued by the team on the spot which included 140 Permanent Resident Certificates, 40 Scheduled Tribe Certificates, 08 Legal Heir Certificates, 7 Dependent Certificates, 35 Character Certificates, 60 Income Certificates, 10 Revenue Extracts and 5 marriage certificates. The concerned officials also attested 9 mutations.
Around 200 people availed the services and lauded the efforts of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri for mitigating the grievances of public.
