JK Cultural Academy employee’s union protest enters 7th Day.

Jammu, October 12, (Scoop News)- Jammu and Kashmir Cultural Academy employee’s union protest enters 7th day for anti employees policies of Academy authorities and demanded immediate intervention of President JKAACL Chief Minister Mrs. Mehbooba Mufti and Vice President JKAACL , Zaffar Iqbal Manhas to address their issues.
The leaders of Jammu and Kashmir Cultural Academy Employees Union supported by, J&K National Trade Union Front , Social Forestry, President Sports, , NTUF and Secretary, Social Forestry , warned the authorities to address their demands, projected before them from time and again, immediately , otherwise they will chalk out a comprehensive programme of protest against the injustice, they are facing off.
The State President of JKCAEU Ramesh Singh , Divisional President Pankaj Sharma , Gen Secretary Sunil Sharma , Secretary of the Union Ch Mehmood Riaz and adviser Rita Khadyal and Anil Tickoo were present along with all the employees of the divisional office.
The leaders demanded immediate promotions/confirmations of all the employees who were placed against the posts or eligible to be promoted against vacant posts. They stated that future of 32 employees are thrown in the darkness In two DPC,s in two and half years as their placements are made between 2011 to 2014 by the authorities as they have been kept out of DPC recommendations.
The Union leader stated that the employees of Divisional Office Jammu are sitting in shabby rooms which were originally meant to be used as green rooms/retiring rooms. They said that the Div Office is presently portraying extremely unhygienic conditions of Academy which requires a change.
Objecting on changing of Academy Recruitment Rules regularly according to will and wishes authorities to accommodate blue eyed boys , the union leader today lodged a strong protest in the matter and demanded uniformity for each employees of Academy for promotion to next post/grade. They further urged upon to include at least three members of the Union must and be made party in rule framing committee.
The leaders made allegations against the Secretary and Vice President for taking their complaints for granted against the officers as employees of the divisional office sent a complaint to the secretary on 7th of oct. 2017 and no action had been taken till date as same case has been seen in Kashmir office as on female employee submitted a complaint to Secretary and vice president of the cultural academy on 8th of sept 2017 for harassment by senior office but no action has been taken till date.
The other demands which were projected included , stop deputing officers/ official from outside to JKAACL, grant of benefit of overtime to employees of JKAACL who regularly works beyond 8 hours including during holidays, grade anomalies of the same post, shortage of employees, maintain the autonomy of the academy, a suitable building for divisional office of JKAACL.
