Versatile choreographer Randhir Kumar passes away


Jammu , October 18, (Scoop News)-Versatile choreographer of Jammu Randhir Kumar passed away today at his residence at Kachi Chawni here this afternoon. He was 64.

Retired as Senior Choreographer from Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages , Randhir was known for his innovative performer of the state. He represented Jammu and Kashmir in 43 countries as troupe leader of state contingent.

Awarded by many govt organisation Randhir was an eminent personality in choreography in country . He was master in the act of designing dances especially performing arts of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh. He was also expert in designing operas, musical and dancing plays.

Randir was also a versatile actor . He acted in the Bolywood movie Avtar in most popular devotional song 'Chalo bulwa aaya hai- Mata ne bulaya hai"

Randhir passed away after brief illness, the family sources said. Survived by his wife and a daughter hewill be remembered for his contributions.

J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages officers and officials also condoled the sad demise of Radhir Kumar.

Those who spoke in condolence meetings held at Srinagar and Jammu office includes Dr. Aziz Hajini Secretary JKAACL, Dr. A S Amn Additional Secretary, Dr. Javaid Rahi Chief Editor, Sanjeev Gupta Manger Abhinav Theatre , Ramesh Singh President Cultural Academy Union, Pankaj Sharma Vice President of Union and many others.
