Rural youth to be partner in development process: Tak
Flags off batch of 55 trainees under Himayat

Kishtwar, October 20, (Scoop News)- Member Legislative Council Firdous Tak has said that the state government led by Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti has laid special focous in making rural youth a partner in development process.
Tak was speaking at a function where he flagged off a batch of trainees for skill training and assured employment under Himayat Scheme from Marwah area of this hilly district.
The batch of 55 youth left Marwah to undergo skill training-domain in retail and IT at Surya Wires Pvt Ltd. at Raipur (Project Implementing Agencies). The agency will later consider these trainees for placement in its companies.
This is for the first time that such large number of youth were sent on training with employment opportunity from this remote area, which remain cut off for more than six months in a year and has a very high rate of unemployment.
Addressing the youth the Member Legislative Council thanked Minister for Rural Development and Panchayatri Raj Abdul Haq Khan for deputing a team from Himayat to this remote area so that the youth can take benefit of the scheme.
He said that youth are the biggest strength of the state and the energy and potential need to be channelized in order to achieve the goal of prospered state. “The state government has launched several programmes including those in sports in order to use the potential for the welfare of the state”, he said.
