| Notorious Drug Peddler held with Poppy Straw in Devsar | |
Srinagar, October 22, (Scoop News)- Continuing its campaign "War on Drugs" against drug menace district police Kulgam based on credible information regarding illicit drugs concealed by one notorious criminal established a special naka near village Pahloo under the supervision of SHO Police Station Devsar Inspector Tanveer Ahmad. During naka a notorious drug peddler namely Wasim Ahmad Wani son of Mohd Yousaf Wani resident of Pahloo was caught and in search five kilograms of poppy straw (Fuki) was recovered from his possession. He has also been involved in other anti-social activities previously. In this regard case was registered in Police Station Devsar and investigation taken up.
People of the area widely appreciated the swift action of police. SP Kulgam Shridhar Patil has appealed general public to cooperate with police to eradicate the drug menace so as to ensure congenial atmosphere in the district.
