| Police Public meet held at Srigufwara | |
Srinagar, October 23, (Scoop News)- In continuation of its efforts to strengthen the police-public relations and to bring people nearer to the police in District Anantnag, a police public meeting was held by SHO Srigufwara at Police Station Srigufwara on the directions of SSP Anantnag Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan.
A large number of prominent citizens, traders, Sarpanch, panchs, auqaf committees and religious preachers from Srigufwara, Saller and adjoining areas participated.
The main objective of the meeting was to aware the general public about the recent incidents of alleged braid chopping and consequent law and order problems. The police sought cooperation from the public for the investigation of braid chopping cases and to avoid law and order problem.
Speaking on the occasion SHO Srigufwara said that such meetings are conducted to solicit the suggestion and support for better policing and would be conducted in future as well. He asserted that all the cases pertaining to braid chopping are being investigated thoroughly with dedication.
He also thanked the people for participating in the meeting and providing valuable suggestions.
Referring to the grievance highlighted by the participates SHO Srigufwara said that these grievances and suggestions will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal and added that police will provide its legal support as and when required for the betterment of the society accordingly.
Meanwhile locals hailed the efforts of the police for traffic management and eradicating drug menace in district Anantnag.
