Augmentation of health, educational facilities in remote areas Govt’s priority: Haji Anayat
Chairman conducts extensive tour of TSG block, takes first-hand appraisal of people’s grievances
Kargil, November 14, (Scoop News)-Chairman Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali today said that augmentation of health, educational facilities and expansion of road network besides the provision of basic amenities at the doorsteps of people in remote and far off pockets of the state is among the top priorities of the Government and several concrete measures are being taken to accomplish this goal.
The Chairman stated this while receiving first hand appraisal of the grievances and demands of the people during his extensive tour of TSG block.
During the visit people’s deputations at Chechethang, Kanor, Tambis, Trespone, Gond Mangalpore, Saliskote and adjoining villages apprised the Chairman about their grievances and demands that included the laying of new pipeline in the area, repair, widening and blacktopping of roads, construction of bridge between Kanor and Trespone, up gradation of High School Tambis to Higher Secondary and Middle School Saliskote to the status of High School, early completion of the construction works of the Primary Health Centre at Gond Mangalpore, establishment of ration store at Trespone and other related issues.
Responding to the public demands, the Chairman said that the present regime under the leadership of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is fully conscious of the difficulties faced by the people in these areas and all out measures are being taken to ensure welfare of the people. Haji Anayat Ali assured the delegations that all their genuine demands would be taken up on priority and steps for fulfilment of demands would be taken in phased manner. He instructed the concerned authorities to prepare DPRs for blacktopping of ZambakhaSaltong road at Kanor, construction of various link roads, water supply schemes, irrigation canals, community halls besides other requisite infrastructure in the area.
The Chairman said that the Government is committed to take all requisite measures so as to ensure that people of these areas are in a position to avail all possible facilities at par with the other areas. Haji Anayat Ali said that DPRs for construction of tunnel between Drass and Saliskote and establishment of separate transmission line from Chutuk Hydel Project for Tambis, Kanor and neighbouring villages are being approved soon paving way for start of work on these projects in near future that would go a long way in providing satisfactory road connectivity and adequate power supply to the area.
Meanwhile, the Chairman assured locals of providing funds out of his CDF for strengthening of women SHGs in the area, construction of community hall and reading room at Chechethang village besides the execution of other development works and provision of basic amenities.
Highlighting several welfare programmes and schemes to bring a healthy change in the living condition of poor and needy, the Chairman exhorted upon the officers to work with missionary zeal and enthusiasm besides making concerted efforts in ensuring the fact that benefits of State and centrally sponsored schemes reach to the targeted population without fail.
The Chairman while directing the officers for personally monitoring all the ongoing projects asked them to adopt proactive approach in execution and planning of the projects so that they can be completed in given time frame and benefiting the people of the area.
Meanwhile, the local people welcomed the Chairman and appreciated him for personally visiting the area to take first hand appraisal of their issues and grievances.
Executive Councillor for Rural Development Aga Syed Hassan ArmaanMoosavi, Councillor Gond Mangalpore Sheikh Muhammad Hussain, former Executive Councillor Aga Syed Kazim Sabiri besides senior officers of the administration accompanied the Chairman.
