Prof Bhat insists on Pakistan’s involvement in resolving Kashmir imbroglio
meets Sharma on Nov 27, will divulge details of talks at an appropriate time

Srinagar, December 6, (Scoop News)-Senior separatist leader, Professor Abdul Gani Bhat, has conceded hosting the visiting Centre’s Special Representative on Kashmir, Dineshwar Sharma, at his residence and described it in consonance with his belief that negotiations were the only option to resolve Kashmir imbroglio.
He said the meeting was in accordance with his long held principle that dialogue was the only way forward in resolving Kashmir issue with the active participation of Pakistan.
Affirming his meet with Sharma on November 27, Bhat said he held detailed discussions with him on Kashmir imbroglio and the necessary measures required for its resolution. He, however, declined to divulge the details of his negotiations with his guest.
“I have sown the seeds in a cold winter season and these seeds will sprout during spring,” he told media persons. Seeking some more time, Bhat said he will inform the people at an appropriate time about the entire details of the talks he had with the special representative.
Centre’s Special Representative has been trying to establish link with separatist leadership since his maiden visit to Kashmir nearly two months ago but the separatist troika comprising SYed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwazi Umar Farooq and Mohammed Yaseen Malik have rejected seeing him.
Asserting himself to be as plain as the nose on one’s face, Bhat said that he had been asking people whom he knew to meet and enjoin upon Dineshwar Sharma that without Pakistan’s engagement in talks, the resolution of the vexed issue is impossible.
