| LBA holds organizational election, office bearers to apex body unanimously repeated | |
Leh(Ladakh), December 7, (Scoop News)-Delegates from several places of Ladakh region unanimously elected the office bearers of Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) including Tsewang Thinlis, PT Kunzong, Rinchen Namgyal, Sonam Dawa and Tsering Angchok to the Buddhist apex body.
Tsewang Thinlis was reelected as president of LBA, PT Kunzong and Rinchen Namgyal as its vice presidents, Sonam Dawa as general secretary and Tsering Angchok as joint secretary in the organizational elections to the parent body for which polls were delayed by over a month.
The elections to other two bodies viz Youth and Women’s wings will be held in next couple of days after the compilation of new electorate at the grassroots level. For social, cultural and economic activities, the village level units facilitate work in tandem with the community heads.
