| Augmentation of rural health infra will help improve tertiary care: Veeri | | Inaugurates Auxiliary Nursing & Mid-Wifery School, NTPHC |
Anantnag, December 10, (Scoop News)-Minister for Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Abdul Rehman Veeri today said that with the creation of rural health infrastructure, the tertiary healthcare system will focus on specialized treatment.
The Minister made these remarks after the inauguration of Auxiliary Nursing & Mid Wifery School at Akoora Anantnag and New Type Public Health Center (NTPHC) Bijbehara.
The Minister was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Muhammad Younis Malik, Director Health Services Kashmir Saleem-ul-Rehman, CMO Anantnag Dr Fazil Kochak and other officers of health, R&B and Police Construction Corporation.
Saying that Primary Health Care is the vital sector that remains the backbone of health services delivery, Veeri said accessibility; affordable to all are the stress areas of present Government.
He said that aim of the government to create health assets in rural areas will help in educating concerned about prevailing health problems, and methods of identifying, preventing and controlling them.
Veeri said that PHCs in rural areas are aimed to deliver high-quality services which are accessible and responsive to the patient’s needs.
The Auxiliary Nursing & Mid Wifery School was constructed at a cost of Rs 2.30 crore for providing training to nursing aspirants in handling healthcare.
The mega structure houses lecture halls, laboratory rooms, staff room, office room and registration room, hostel rooms, warden’s room.
Veeri stressed on the health officials to setup all the modern equipment’s necessary for the training of nursing students and stressed on practical exposure of handling health care in nearby hospitals.
Besides the proper watch and ward, he asked the officers to complete the walling of the college within the stipulated time.
At the inauguration ceremony of NTPHC Veeri, the Minister asked the officers to ensure staff strength and setting up of modern equipments in the facility.
The NTPHC constructed at a cost of Rs 1.79 crore houses doctors examination room, emergency room, X-ray with dark room, USG/ECG room, dispensary, labour unit, female ward, laboratory, dental section, doctors night room, paramedics night room, medical OPD, ISM room, immunization room.
On the occasion, he donated Rs 5 lacs for the setting up of modern X-ray plant in the center.
Veeri had a detailed tour of the center and enquired about the facilities which will be provided at the center.
He stressed on health officials to follow duty roaster strictly so that patients in the area don’t suffer.
