Peace activists feel deeply concerned about the fate of Raza Mahmood Khan,a Pakistani rights activist: Tarigami

Jammu, December 13, (Scoop News)-The peace constituency in India and Pakistan is concerned about the safety and welfare of Raza Mahmood Khan, a Pakistani rights activist, who is missing since December 2 from Lahore. I urge the civil society of Pakistan to use its influence to persuade the Pakistani authorities to ensure safe and speedy release of Raza Khan. The peace activists in both the countries are concerned about his safety.

Raza is an active member of Lahore’s civil society and an activist of 'Aaghaz-e-Dosti', an organization that focuses on peace education, advocates dialogue and people to people contacts between the two countries. Raza is Convener of 'Aaghaz-e-Dosti' in Pakistan and since joining the organization in 2015 he has been proactive and conducted several greeting card exchange programs, letter exchange programs, discussions and classroom connect sessions between Indian and Pakistani students.

People like Raza Khan, who work for Indo-Pak friendship and peace are persons, who need encouragement and protection from their respective governments in Pakistan and India. I believe that Raza will return home sooner.
