| Deputy Commissioner Lavasa finalizes Republic day programs at Leh | | 
Leh, January 08, (Scoop News)- The Deputy Commissioner Leh, Avny Lavasa today convened a meeting to finalize the arrangements and programs for celebration of Republic Day, 2018. The meeting was attended by all the district officers.
DC constituted various committees of district officers and assigned them with varied responsibilities. She urged all the district officers to sincerely undertake their duties and responsibilities to make the celebration of Republic Day a grand success.
Ms. Lavasa informed that the main function shall be held at Polo-ground Leh where the National flag shall be unfurled by the chief guest of the occasion at 11.00 AM followed by parade inspection. It was told that 15 contingents including contingents of Police and Paramilitary forces and school children shall take part in the March Past. The cultural program will include 6 cultural items from different schools and one item each from J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Leh and Information Department. As past practice rehearsal of the programs shall be held from Jan 18 to 23 and full dress rehearsal on Jan 24 at Leh Polo-ground.
