| J&K SDRF teams train in Avalanche Preparedness, at JIM Pahalgam | | 
Srinagar, January 10, (Scoop News)- Dilbagh Singh, Commandant General (DGP) CD, HG and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), J&K visited Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering (JIM) Pahalgam to oversee the on-going Basic Rescue Training of the SDRF Teams in Avalanche preparedness. He was accompanied by Commandant SDRF 1st Bn, Bashir Ahmed Sofi, Director Home Guards, Javed Hassan Bhat, Staff Officer to Commandant General, Sunil Kumar, Principal JIM Pahalgam, Colonel Thappa. The trainees demonstrated their acquired skills in Avalanche response.
The J&K SDRF has started focused skill enhancement for their personnel, so that they are better prepared to handle any disaster and perform their professional duties, in an effective and efficient manner.
