| Mahajan terms CM’s statement as historic | |
Jammu, January 11, (Scoop News)- Hailing statement of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, general secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Ved Mahajan today said that it was a clear message to those who are trying to create confusion by giving confusing statements, time and again.
In a statement issued here today, Mr Mahajan said that some elements for their vested interests have, time and again, try to rake up the issue of J&K’s relations with India but Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has given them a clear message from the floor of the Assembly.
Chief Minister on Thursday while replaying to debate on Motion of Thanks to Governor’s Address, said that Jammu and Kashmir has written its destiny and whatever they will get, they will get from India only whether it is life with dignity, dialogue or opening of routes.
“Jammu and Kashmir has written its ‘taqdeer’ (destiny). I want to set record straight and tell both mainstream and others that only from India they will get everything whether it is life with dignity, dialogue, opening of cross-LoC routes or development. All you can get from the Government of India,’’ Chief Minister had statement.
Terming this statement as historic, Mr Mahajan appealed opposition parties to rise above petty politics and work for the welfare of the people. “Instead of opposing government for the sake of opposition, all political parties should strengthen hands of Mehbooba Mufti to take J&K out of the present uncertainty”, he said and added that PDP-BJP coalition regime under the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti has taken many revolutionary steps for restoring lasting peace in this region.
Mahajan said that coalition has succeeded in ending corruption in recruitment process of various posts filled up by the PSC, SSB and Police Recruitment Board.
