154 road projects worth Rs 620.19 cr under execution in Doda constituency: Naeem Akhter
‘DPR for Chenani-Kishtwar-Sinthan-Khannabal highway being formulated’

Jammu, January 12, (Scoop News)- Minister for Works (Roads & Buildings), Naeem Akhter today informed the Legislative Assembly that 154 road projects involving a cost of Rs. 620.19 crore taken up under CRF and PMGSY schemes are at different stages of completion in Doda constituency.
Replying to a question by Shakti Raj Parihar in the House, the Minister informed that the Government has started the process for formulation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Chenani-Kishtwar-Sinthan Pass-Khannabal (New Highway-244).
He said the work of 2-lane road project with paved shoulders has been entrusted to the National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) by the Union Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.
The Minister further informed that the preparation of DPR for the Sudhmahadev-Goha tunnel will also be awarded by the NHIDCL shortly as the financial bids stand opened.
Replying to the supplementary Questions by Raja Manzoor, G M Saroori, Neelam Langeh, Mubarak Gul, A R Rather and Daleep Parihar, the Minister said that government is paying focused attention to upgrade the road infrastructure in every nook and corner of the State and efforts have been stepped up for expeditious completion of all on-going projects. He assured the Members to address their concerns with regard to the speedy execution of various schemes underway in their constituencies.

Legislators authorized to utilize CDF for clearing liabilities: Haq Khan
Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq Khan today informed the Legislative Assembly that Government has issued an order authorizing the legislators to utilize an amount of Rs 20 lakh out of their Constituency Development Funds (CDF) for clearing the past liability of BPL houses on IAY pattern during the current financial year.
He said by virtue of the Government Order, if there is no liability on account of IAY exists, the legislators can channelize the CDF funds with the maximum ceiling of Rs. 20 lakh from the financial year 2017-18 as per the latest rules and laid down guidelines of the scheme.
The Minister was replying to a Question by Mian Altaf in the House.
Ch. Mohammad Akram, Hakeem Mohammad Yasin, Yawar Dillawar Mir and G M Saroori raised their supplementary questions on the issue.
