| JKPCC presents resolution in party's convention, salutes martyrs | | observes two minute silence, expresses concern over series of attacks on security installations |
Jammu, February 11, (Scoop News)-Jammu and Kashmir pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Sunday presented a resolution during party's convention.
Two minutes silence was observed in the beginning of the of the convention to pay homage to the martyrs of Sunjawan terrorist attack on a military station of Saturday morning. The text of the resolution is reproduced as following:
1. This gathering of Congress delegates strongly condemns the Pak sponsored terrorist attack on the army camp at Sunjwan Jammu since yesterday in which several precious lives of our Jawans and civilians have been lost and several others seriously injured.
2. We pay rich tributes to those martyred for the nation and pray for peace to the departed souls. We convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray for early recovery of those injured in the attack.
3. We salute the bravery of our Jawans who have eliminated four terrorist involved in this attack, so far, at the cost of their lives.
4. We also pay our rich tributes to all those Jawans of Army, Security forces and police and civilians who sacrificed their lives in the various terrorist attacks in the recent past and in the unabated Pak shelling on LoC and IB in the state.
5. We express our grave concern over the series of terrorist attacks including over the installations of Army and Security forces and over the continued/unabated shelling on our borders and LoC taking heavy toll of our forces and civilian people and call upon the government of India and state government to effectively deal with the prevailing situation.
